One of my favorite alleyways in downtown Fredericton, located between the bus station and the Brunswick Street parking garage. It has to be about the darkest alley in the city, and I remember in Junior High School having the impression that very, very sketchy things went on between these two buildings.

I came across this baseball field about two minutes from my home one night while driving around. It surprised me because it was just past midnight and the lights were still on...never thought that recreational baseball games went on that late.
Anyway, just after taking a few shots of the field, as I was walking off the field and back to my car, the lights turned themselves off.
I laughed, thinking that the field must have been waiting for me...

Both of these photos were taken at a small fishing village in Southern NB, near where the ferry to Deer Island leaves the mainland.

Christ Chruch Cathedral in downtown Fredericton at about 11:00 or so in the evening. Taken over a 20 sec. exposure. Building is a little over-exposed due to a large floodlight on that side of the building, but wanted to capture the sky behind the spire.



Again, taken over a 20 sec. exposure (I believe), around 10:30 or so in the evening.
The river was beautiful that night, as was the whole of downtown as it was the biggest night for the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. There was a wonderful hum of drums, guitars, and horn instruments in the air and a beautiful mist / fog on the other side of the river creating an eerie glow from the streetlights.

I was really pleased with how this photo came out.



Continuining with my recent pre-occupation with long exposure night shots and passing car lights.

Yet another long exposure night shot, featuring passing car lights.
I was fairly happy with how this shot turned out, except for the bit of a lens flare coming down from the top right hand corner.
Some minor PS work, including inserting a layer mask with a gradient on the right hand side of the photo to limit light coming from our local "Lighthouse" (read: stupidest building in all of downtown Fredericton).

I can't find beauty in anything anymore.
This city feels shallow and hollow.
